This year the people (FINALLY) have a great alternative: Jack Brosch. While some Democrats may pull the party lever, if you TALK to Jack you'll find that for a Republican he DEFINITELY wants the BEST for EVERYONE in the 12th District. If you don't know him or haven't even met him, please, don't "rant" about "All Republicans are blah, blah, blah". Meet him and talk to him and you find that he's an honorable man with character and great leadership qualities. He's very down to earth and would serve the 12th extremely well. Mel Watt's been in DC waaayyy too long and we need fresh ideas to tackle the debt crisis while still providing essential services - and Jack would be an excellent choice. Read More...

welcome2

First, let me take this opportunity to thank you for visiting my website. I ask that you return often, as it will evolve over the next few months. At this site, you will learn about me and my beliefs. In the past few month I have been conducting a “Where is Mel Watt Listening Tour” with the constituents of the 12th district.  Now I’m starting the same process with the top 269 business’s in one of the most gerrymandered districts in the United States.  Following that I will be reaching out to faith based and community organizations (if you know anywhere I need to be, please send me a contact form).

At this point, I ask for only two things. First, if you have the ability to contribute in any way, please do. You can do that but clicking the “Contribute” button on the top right. Second, and just as important, please VOTE On May 8th AND Nov 6th. Not just in the general election, but also the primary. Remember the only vote that does not count is the one that was never cast.

Budget

The United states deficit is crushing the American economy, when elected I will NEVER vote for an unbalanced budget IN THE FOLLOWING YEAR.  By showing not only American business, but the investors of the world that WE (Congress AND the American people) are serious about getting our spending under control, we will revitalize our economy.  I look forward to EARNING our AAA back and returning pride to the United States.

Taxes

Taxes are too high today and inhibit job development and economic growth. I am a strong proponent of the Fair Tax whereby the people are in control of what they pay for taxes and not the federal government. The great American patriot, Alexander Hamilton, once said... “If Congress can employ money indefinitely to the general welfare... The powers of Congress would subvert the very foundation, the very nature of the limited government established by the people of America.”  I believe that a onetime repatriation of off shore money at a 5% rate would boast the economy and allow American business’s to hire.

Healthcare

I believe the Healthcare system in the US is the best in the world. We have our problems and there are improvements needed, but it does not mean you replace it with the “Obamacare”. Obamacare was rammed down the American’s throat. It was not read by any member of congress it and according to Nancy Pelosi needed to be past to find out what was in it. You as a citizen should be angered and scared at the same time.  If our elected officials are legislating without comprehension, then our freedoms are surely gone. I pledge that I will fight endlessly to repeal “Obamacare” and seek alternatives which are not intrusive on the American people.

Jobs

More taxation, regulation, and litigation will not create more jobs. Government takeovers of the economy have failed while the size and the scope of the federal government has exploded. Washington has tied the hands of small business owners and job creators with onerous regulations and backward fiscal policies that have stalled the economy, slowed innovation and destroyed jobs. We need common sense, pro-growth policies to give small businesses and entrepreneurs renewed confidence in our economy and to remove Washington as the roadblock to job creation.

Jobs text above has been taken from GOP.gov website and is also my position.
