More taxation, regulation, and litigation will not create more jobs. Government takeovers of the economy have failed while the size and the scope of the federal government has exploded. Washington has tied the hands of small business owners and job creators with onerous regulations and backward fiscal policies that have stalled the economy, slowed innovation and destroyed jobs. We need common sense, pro-growth policies to give small businesses and entrepreneurs renewed confidence in our economy and to remove Washington as the roadblock to job creation.

I believe the Healthcare system in the US is the best in the world. We have our problems and there are improvements needed, but it does not mean you replace it with the “Obamacare”. Obamacare was rammed down the American’s throat. It was not read by any member of congress and according to Nancy Pelosi needed to be passed to find out what was in it. You as a citizen should be angered and scared at the same time.  If our elected officials are legislating without comprehension, then our freedoms are surely gone. I pledge I will fight endlessly to repeal “Obamacare” and seek alternatives which are not intrusive on the American people.

Our constitution does not give the power of managing education to the Federal Government.  I think the Federal Government can establish basic standards such as Reading, Writing, and Arithmetic. I strongly support a voucher system. Our education system is broken. Our education system needs to provide parents with a greater choice.  Our public school system takes on a curriculum of the people in power and not the desires of the parents.  Parents have a right to bring up and educate their children the way they choose and establishing a free market education system will give parents that choice.

I am sure you have heard this before, but our government spending is out of control. Get this, the people telling us that are the ones spending it!!! Well, get this too, our Government spending has gotten out of control.  The National Debt has topped over 15 TRILLION Dollars, and our annual deficit is currently over 1.6 Trillion dollars. The Government borrows 40 cents of every dollar they spend. We need to take away our government’s right to borrow money and force a balance budget amendment. It is very apparent that the current budget neither addresses balancing the budget nor reducing the debt. Hard choices need to be made, over the next few years, to keep our Country from becoming another Greece or Italy. There comes a time where we need to just say NO!

I fully support the Second Amendment and believe any attempt to usurp this right is a direct violation and an attack on the very freedom it protects. The current  Administration’s justice department and many liberals are making concerted effort to diminish your right to bear arms. I will become a strong barrier between them and your Second Amendment Rights.

I believe in a Citizen Legislature, meaning not a Career Politician. If elected, I would limit my term in this office to a total of eight years. I would impose this limit on myself should Congress not pass a Constitutional Amendment to limit terms. I believe by limiting our terms, we allow greater growth and limit the ability for our politicians to become entrenched in a way of thinking. We recognized that limiting the term of the President was more beneficial for the country. It is time we look at limiting the terms for both the Legislative and Judicial branches of our government.

Many States have enacted new laws to combat Illegal immigration only to be sued by the Obama Administration for trying to perform a function which the Federal Government is responsible.  I submit that if this Administration’s Justice Department was doing its job to protect our boarders and deport the Illegal immigrants currently here, the States would not have a reason to act.  It is import to understand that I am referring to an Illegal act of entering into this country.    Currently the numbers of Illegal Immigrants in this country are estimated between 12 – 20 Million and may go even higher. Illegal immigrants place a drain on resources and current social service systems in place for our citizens and Legal Immigrants.  I will work hard to strengthen our boarders and make the Administration enforce the existing laws.  Only then can we address immigration reform.

I believe that the current energy policy makes the US dependent on foreign energy and threatens our National Security and prosperity. Our Nation has an abundance of natural resources which the Administration refuses to acknowledge and restricts access to support their own political agenda. If this Administration would open access, jobs would be created not just in the Oil and Natural Gas industries, but those in supporting industries as well. America needs to become its own energy supplier. Should the market open for the need in Green energy it will without the government’s intervention. I will support every effort to eliminate any and all subsidies provided to energy producers.

Here is a program that is not sustainable and never was at its inception. The very first person who contributed to Social Security paid in five cents and retired the next day and received a lump sum payment of seventeen cents. Does not sound like much today, but that is 340%. Not a bad investment for one day. It has only gotten worse since then by adding non contributors as beneficiaries. This program was never about replacing your retirement, but has become just that. We need to change this program. First, we have to restrict Congress from borrowing from the Trust Fund. A note: If you or I were entrusted with other peoples money in a Trust Account and borrowed from it, we would be in jail right now. Congress must repay the Trust Fund and make it whole again. There are governments who elected to opt out of the Social Security program and have benefits which far exceed those of the Federal system (Galvaston, TX comes to mind). We need to examine these systems and privatize the Social Security System for future participants. We have to block Congress from every stealing your retirement.

Marriage - I believe that Marriage, as currently defined, is between a Man and a Woman. The current issue of redefining marriage is not about the term, but the benefits associated with the term as defined in our laws. When two people join together, they do so in the presence of their God. It is man that requires a license/contract between the two. We need to stop the petty arguing about the word marriage and address the true subject which is the benefits associated with the contracted union. All people need to be treated equal. With that being said, Government at any level will not be able to sustain the extra burden of the entitlements without the increased support from the beneficiary. I believe that addressing the benefits will reduce or even eliminate the need to redefine Marriage.

Life - I believe that Life begins at conception. I strongly oppose giving Tax dollars to any organization connected with the practice of Abortion. I believe even stronger that abortion is a decision not made by the Government but by the Mother and Father of the conceived, with the consult of their families, friends and religious leaders.
